Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with U.S. Special Operations Command

On February 18^th RMXI announced a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with U.S. Special Operations Command to advance tactical video communications through its innovative VAST video encoder platform.

The RMXI VAST platform is a groundbreaking software-based video encoder that enables the streaming of high definition (HD) video over bandwidth-constrained tactical networks. Its AV1 compression technology delivers HD video at data rates as low as 200 kbps, and standard definition (SD) at 50 kbps. Unlike traditional video encoder systems requiring specialized hardware, RMXI VAST operates on standard x86 or Arm computing platforms – from servers to low-SWaP (size, weight, and power) single-board computers – significantly reducing both cost and complexity of deployments by military units.
